All of Hudson Optical Laboratories’ coating operations are performed in a clean room environment. Furthermore, the parts for coating are cleaned and fixtured in laminar air flow hoods that provide Class 100 clean room conditions.
Hudson Optical Laboratories possesses two optical coating systems. A thermal deposition system dedicated to single layer AR coatings and a reactive electron beam coating system with in-situ film reflectance measurement capability. The electron beam system is utilized for mult-layer anti-reflection coatings such as BBAR, V, and HEA thin film coatings.
